We were a little bit achey at the end but it didn’t feel like a massive effort, even on a very hot day - the river helps push you along. We agonised about which route to choose with our young kids (6 and 8). The setup is slick: from in the car to on the water in ten minutes, and a shuttle bus to take you back to the starting point from the end of the route downriver.
